Welcome to our Disclaimer page. We are estimators offering our takeoff services in the state of Illinois. We are dedicated to producing quality for your projects, but first off, read our terms regarding what we can and can’t do.
You agree to all of these terms by using our services. We try for the best estimates possible, but it still depends on the data we have on hand. We cannot always be 100% due to the nature of construction work.
Read this Disclaimer. We want to explain your liabilities and our limitations. We hope this will prevent misunderstandings later on in your project.
Accuracy of Estimates and Takeoffs
We try our level best to give you a very good estimate on the basis of the information that you provide us with. However, we cannot guarantee 100% correctness since construction projects are complex and affect you with price changes and surprises.
Our estimates depend on the information you give. If anything else changes, then the estimate will probably be wrong. We therefore recommend that you check with suppliers and contractors before you make a decision.
Some things are out of our control. We have no control over cost changes. We can only help you plan your budget, and the final cost may differ.
No Liability for Project Outcomes
Using our estimating services means you agree that we will not be responsible for your project’s outcome. Estimates are not a definite number; they don’t guarantee success. Many things, like unexpected problems or changes in the project, can affect the result.
We are not responsible for delays, extra costs, or changes after we give our estimates. Our service is for planning and budgeting, not for guaranteeing success.
We can’t control how others use the information. If you share our estimates, we can’t ensure they will be used correctly. It’s your responsibility to use the estimates properly.
Third-Party Information and External Factors
We use third-party information to estimate, including material prices, local rules, and supplier rates. We do our best to try and get the very best and current information but can’t possibly control it. The prices and conditions can change, so that might impact your cost.
Construction projects are subject to changes in laws, building codes, and other rules. We can’t predict or control such changes and how they might affect your project. We recommend you check third-party information before making decisions based on our estimates. We strive to provide the best data possible, but we’re not responsible for changes we cannot control.
Project Scope and Detail Limitations
The estimate relies on the information given to us. If some information is incomplete or vague, an estimate might not be precise. Provide as much detail as you can. All our estimates are only estimations. We do not use real cost, meaning that all materials or work done for a project.
As the project progresses, additional work or surprises may alter the estimate. We are not liable for such changes. Please check the estimate regularly as the project progresses.
Changes in Project Requirements
We are aware that project needs may change. If materials, timelines, or scope change, the estimate may no longer be accurate. Please contact us for an updated estimate.
We are happy to accommodate changes that come up. However, extra requests or changes may result in higher fees or longer timelines for the estimate.
We are not responsible for problems caused by changes in your project. It is your job to let us know about any changes so we can give an accurate estimate.
Client Responsibilities
You must provide us with accurate and complete information. Omissions or incorrect information may impact the estimate. We generate the estimate using your information.
Once you receive the estimate, take a close look at it. We do our best, but please verify. If you are unsure about something, let us know.
You are responsible for ensuring the estimate fits your needs. Our estimates are based on industry standards, but your project might be different. Use the estimate as a guide for your budget, not the final cost.
Pricing Changes
We strive to be able to give you proper prices with the current market. In fact, prices for materials, labor, and parts of your project may be subject to change. Therefore, we cannot guarantee estimates will stay the same.
If a lot of increase in prices occurs, then we can inform you. But this does not excuse us in case of rises in price after we present our estimate.
We recommend that you account for potential price increases in your budget. This will eliminate surprises later.
Utilizing our Estimates
Our estimates are for planning and budgetary purposes only. They are not a final quote or bid. We do the best we can, but often there are expenses omitted or not accounted for.
You can use our estimates as a guide but are likely to change. We always recommend talking to contractors and suppliers for a more realistic view of actual costs.
You are responsible for any decisions you make on our estimates. We accept no responsibility for any issues that may arise from using our estimates wrongly.
Limitation of Liability
We are only responsible for what you paid for our estimating services. We are not liable for any damages, delays, or mistakes caused by our services, including project delays or wrong information.
Make sure you understand your project and our estimate before starting. We aim to provide helpful information, but we can’t be responsible for everything in your project.
Our estimates are just a starting point. The actual costs and work may be different, and we can’t guarantee they will match. We want you to understand the terms of using our estimating services.
While we try to be accurate, we can’t promise our estimates will be perfect or stay the same. Many things can affect the final result. By using our services, you accept the risks in this Disclaimer. We will do our best, but it’s important to work with contractors and suppliers for accurate estimates and project management. Thank you for choosing us. We look forward to working with you.
